Love
Love is behind absolutely everything. Intimacy with Jesus trumps all else, and next to that is loving relationships with others. These always come before tasks because they are the primary "task". "Missions exist because worship and love for Jesus do not!" (1 Corinthians 13)
2 Unity
It’s not about any name other than Jesus. Jesus works through every part of the Body of Christ and we believe that every part is important. We believe in unity in the midst of the vast diversity of the global church. It’s not about control, so City for the Nations encourages great commission activity that already exists in a city and works to connect and engage others in it rather than recreating and setting up competition. City for the Nations only creates when a key opportunity does not already exist and does so in partnership with others.
(1 Corinthians 12:12-24, John 17:20-23, Acts 2:1-3)
3 Calling
Our desire is to release every believer into their most strategic role in fulfilling the Great Commission - to live out their calling in obedience for the glory of God and from the love of God. This may be in the marketplace, a non-profit, a local church, at home, or other arena. We believe everyone has role to play in fulfilling the great commission to the unreached and everyone needs to play their role to finish the great commission.
(Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:19, Ephesians 2:10)
4 Family
We believe the primary sphere of influence each believer is given is their immediate family. The family is the first God ordained entity He created. One of the greatest roles of the church is to be a spiritual family. A place to find love, purpose, care, encouragement and identify. The role as mother or father as key discipler in the family is primary among calling and assignment.
(Ephesians 2:19, Romans 8:14-17, 1 Timothy 3:2-4)
5 Unreached Nations
Our primary focus is on unreached people groups and unreached unengaged people groups, not that we don’t encourage missions to “reached” places or local evangelism. But God has a very specific and paramount vision that those who have no opportunity to hear and who have little or no worshipers would be before the throne worshiping Jesus. We reach out through evangelism and discipleship that lead to Church Planting Movements or Disciple Making Movements. (Romans 15:14-21, Matthew 21:14, Revelation 7:9)
